Tennis in the United States is played on three kinds of places: public park courts run by a city or county, member clubs and country clubs with their own pros and leagues, and commercial tennis centers that sell court time by the hour. Public courts are usually free and first come, first served, with a posted limit (often 60-90 minutes when others are waiting); busier cities run online reservation systems with a small fee and a permit for the season. Indoor courts are rented by the hour and booked days ahead in winter. Most facilities are hard courts; clay is common in the Southeast and at private clubs, and grass is rare. Lights extend play into the evening at many parks, sometimes with a coin or app-operated switch.

Winston-Salem is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Winston-Salem follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Overpriced and underwhelming. For starters, the bartenders do not make great drinks. The tv in the room is TERRIBLE, it lags and is constantly trying to connect to the internet. The bed was fairly comfortable, however, the pillows are painfully flat. The sink will be working normal and then somewhat βpulseβ and shoot water onto your abdomen area causing your outfit to become soaked (happened in our friends room down the hall as well)β then go back to a normal flow, no hand soap at the bathroom sink (in any of our 4 rooms), hot water in the shower was hit or miss. We had a roach scramble from the bathroom one night when we flipped on the light switch. The hotel is under construction and we had to wait sometimes up to 10 minutes to get an elevator, then when you get one - it stops at every floor because of the construction staff using it to move large pieces of furniture β this is very time consuming to and from the 18th floor. Too many other options in the area, would not stay here again. Edited to add: the A/C also is a problem. Our room never got below 70Β° when it was set lower. It was very hot and muggy throughout our room and the entire hotel.

I had a wonderful stay at the Winston-Salem Marriott while traveling for business. The hotel is in a great downtown location, making it convenient to access local restaurants and businesses. The property was clean, modern, and well maintained, and my room was comfortable, quiet, and spotless. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and professional, making check-in and check-out seamless. The overall experience exceeded my expectations, and I appreciated the comfortable accommodations after a busy workday. I would definitely recommend the Winston-Salem Marriott to both business and leisure travelers and look forward to staying here again.

I have been spending quite a bit of time in Winston Salem as my husband is being treated at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital. This Marriott is absolutely wonderful! The facility needs a little facelift, but it is clean and the staff really makes it wonderful. From being greeted by the wonderful team of Valets - particularly the red headed gentleman, Tucker, to the front desk staff and the restaurant staff everyone is super nice and accommodating. The chef is amazing! Great food every time and the bar tenders are so nice!
